Dual Monitors and Windows XP Extend my Windows Desktop Question

I am running RealVNC Enterprise Edition 4.2.6 on the server and viewer.

I have a couple of users that utilize the Windows XP "Extend the
Windows Desktop" option on their laptops so they can have more
desktop space on a second 17" LCD monitor.

When I connect to any of these laptops via VNC I get both screens
(laptop
and 17" monitor) next to each other in a very small horizontal box.

When I check the Scaling Option it is set to "Scale to Window Size". If
I change
the option to "No Scaling" I get the 17" LCD monitor screen front and
center
but now the laptop screen with the Windows XP "Start Button" is now off
the screen and
I have to keep moving the scroll bars back and forth to work on the
machine. I
also tried changing the "Custom Sizes" but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to work effectively
through
VNC for users that have dual monitors?
