Hey guys. I had some questions earlier about port 80/firewall problems.. The problem was that I wanted to use VNC server on my computer at home (behind a router) and access it from work (behind an firewall/proxy I don't control). I tried port 80, 8080 (which the proxy use), neither worked. Anyway: Now I've managed to reach my computer at home using cliser (SSH client), so I've created a tunnel thru the proxy at work and I get to the auth screen. However, my password don't work. I can log in just fine if there's no proxy/firewall in between (had a friend try it out.) So I'm thinking.. could it be that because the proxy at work requires username/password that I can't login? Is there anyway to fix this? I know it's using user/pass because I tried telnetting thru the tunnel, but I got an "invalid username / password" kind of message. Is there any way to get past this? Perhaps different ports? 80 or 443? I didn't try 80 or 443 with the tunneling yet, but since the proxy uses 8080 that's what I should use, huh? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Magnus
