Source packages for Ubuntu
|
|
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, First time poster, long time user - thanks for all the fantastic packages over the years! Just a quick thing I ran into today - the vmod installation process is currently just a few steps from being pretty trivial for Varnish installations on Ubuntu. With the system packages you can do apt-get source, build your vmod against the source, and all is well. There are no source packages available in the varnish repository, and as a result your options are risk it with a from-source compilation with default options and hope the vmod isn't pulling config from it (I'm fairly sure it isn't but I'm not an expert) or to stick to the packages distributed with the OS that have source packages. Could we get source packages added to the Varnish repositories so that vmods can be built with the apt-get source approach? - -- Cheers, James Harrison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32) iEYEARECAAYFAlE7tH4ACgkQ22kkGnnJQAzlWQCgtQ0qLv56MnxlS7G73S0kIGK0 BO8AoI33Ignz4PhbbZLlqV6K9/xV6wQJ =qHv3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ varnish-dist mailing list varnish-dist [at] varnish-cache https://www.varnish-cache.org/lists/mailman/listinfo/varnish-dist
