With stream support tuned on the both fetching and delivering (while
fetching) speeds with persistent storage are of 10 times less then
compared to ones with file storage. The test was done on 1 Gbit/s port
where throughput of test download exceed about 80% of bandwidth.

Comment (by martin):

Could you please check with the current 3.0-plus and see if there is still
a major slow down on persistence? There are large works on both streaming
and persistence there.
