unsupported database type "sqlite" error

Hello Trac users,
I am getting this strange error when trying to browse Trac:
Warning: Can't synchronize with repository "(default)" (Unsupported
database type "sqlite"). Look in the Trac log for more information
Unsupported database type "sqlite"
I think I have all the python sqlite bindings:
[root [at] rc-nag-slave conf.d]# rpm -qa | grep sqlite
sqlite-3.3.6-5
python-sqlite-1.1.7-1.2.1
sqlite-devel-3.3.6-5
[root [at] rc-nag-slave conf.d]# python
Python 2.4.3 (#1, Sep 21 2011, 19:55:41)
[GCC 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-51)] on linux2
