Custom field as a query filter

We're using Trac 0.11.1 and I've added a custom field to the ticket called Requirement. I want to be able to filter on requirements but when I select "Requirement" in the Add Filter combo box, nothing happens. It doesn't create a new filter. Does anyone know if this feature works or maybe in what version it was fully implemented?
