Hi all,
OK, I got lucky. There was a Very usable copy of Smart Boot Manger on
the copy of Slackware 12 that I recently downloaded. Copied it to a
floppy according to the instructions that came on the CD, and I am
presently booting off a Debian business card ISO on my old Hitachi
laptop.
Working GREAT. So, once again, thanks for the tip about SBM.
