Setting up receiver-side SPF
|
|
Hi, I want to implement receiver-side checking of SPF on our incoming mail server. We are using sendmail 8.13.1 running on Scientific Linux 4.5 (equivalent to RedHat Enterprise 4.5). Any advice? I understand that sendmail does not support SPF natively and needs an extension (milter), but the packages I tried did not install because of failed dependencies like these: rpm -ivh sendmail-milter-spf-1.42-2.noarch.rpm error: Failed dependencies: perl(Sendmail::AccessDB) is needed by sendmail-milter-spf-1.42-2.noarch rpm -ivh spfmilter-0.97-1.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libspf2.so.1 is needed by spfmilter-0.97-1.i386 After a few hours trying several different packages and trying to resolve dependencies I gave up. Any help will be appreciated. Miguel A.
