www.openvpn.org Down?

Is anyone able to access www.openvpn.org? I have been trying for about
an hour now with no luck.

It looks like I am also unable to ping the server. Has anyone had any
better luck?

Thanks
-Matt

Hmm. Openvpn.org is up. Openspf.org, however, is still down.
This is the spf-discuss list, so I misread the url.

I have a backup of openspf.org from Nov 11, 2009. If only we had
a way to point DNS to a backup server.

i'm guessing your dns-master was on the same host as the site?

if {after this outage} you need a backup dns slave{s}
{that can sit between your primary and any other slaves}
{and on demand be upgraded to master when yours is down for changes like re-pointing the website} {will send/receive notifies as needed}

and/or

a ftp-accessable website {name-virtualhost}
{unfortunatly static html only no scripts or php}
{i doubt this will be as appealing}

let me know I'll be happy to provide it for free, and

Yes, I also have a DNS primary, with commercial secondaries to back it
up. The trick is to get Wayne to point the NS record there.
The master dns is actually up. But none of us have a login on it.

The problem is, Wayne owns the domain, and is absent when it needs
maintenance. And he shouldn't give the keys to just anyone. There
needs to be a formal procedure for delegating control of the
openspf.org domain.

Sorry, I meant www.openspf.org, but was working on openvpn at the same
time (doing updates when I noticed a problem with my install of
pypolicyd-spf) so must have just mis-typed.

Sorry for the confusion.

I am finding SPF to be quite valuable.
I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to the project, but I do have
hosting capabilities to provide mirror sites.

FWIW, openspf.org is back up.

I pulled a current backup today.

Thanks to all who've offered hosting, but *hosting* is a non-issue.
I have long been intending to move the new website back to my own reliable
server where it had started out[1]. The one thing that made any attempts
at moving the site futile always was that Wayne controlled the domain and
couldn't effectively be reached. Unfortunately this hasn't changed. :-(
