Avoiding variable expansion with clogin

I'm trying to script out the change of an enable secret password. Expect
seems to get hungup on the '$' in the md5 hash. I haven't figured out
the the right way to escape or tell expect that I'm not passing a
variable.
Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
