There's no good reason to do so at this point, the mail servers that don't properly send messages these days are so few and far between that bouncing the occasional message from them shouldn't be ab issue. And, if that's really a problem on your external gateways, it shouldn't be one on your internal systems - just set up separate instances of qmail-smtpd without fixcrio for sending mail on the WAN...
