Dear Kulkarni,
I have a server under load.I installed it 2 years ago & according to my
remembering, i don't remember that lwq writes anything on "caching" in
rblsmtpd.

Install a local rbl server like rbldns. See,

And you will be if you don't read the docs. Do yourself a favour, read,
re-read and re-read "Life with qmail" at
http://lifewithqmail.org/lwq.html

Do some homework or if you are lazy or don't have time, hire a
consultant. List of consultants is at,
http://www.qmail.org/top.html#paidsup

Do also read,
http://pyropus.ca/personal/writings/12-steps-to-qmail-list-bliss.html
especially points - 1,3,4,5,6,7,10.

rblsmtpd does not "cache lists". It merely queries the DNS server.
Your DNS server should cache things.

No, reading from -r every time rblsmtpd is run does NOT create high
volumes of traffic. If it queries every single blacklist (which it
does) and if you have a lot of blacklists (which it appears that you
do), that will create a lot of DNS queries. However, if you have a
caching DNS server (you should), that should reduce the amount of
traffic generated.

Generally, though, it is a very bad idea to use a lot of remote
blacklists. People who run large email servers either do not use such
blacklists OR they periodically create local copies of those
blacklists (not all blacklists allow you to create a local copy).

If you are having problems, however, it is probably because you are
querying several blacklists that no longer exist. Checking
non-existent blacklists takes quite a while because your server has to
wait for each request to a non-existent blacklists to time out.
