Qmail statistics

Hola list,
I've run a qmail server for the last two years with no regrets and lots
of satisfactions. ;)
It's fine-tuned and working like a charm. Now, I'm being asked to
provide some fancy statistics regarding mail traffic (including
spamassassin if possible).
I've been researching, but I figured the gurus here could recomend one
or two.
Is qmailmrtg7 good? What about awstats?

I ask beforehand, because I don't like to clutter the disk with
"trial-software".
Thanks.
/Diego

It all depends on what you're after. qmailmrtg7 is pretty decent, if
you like mrtg and want graphs like that. I used it for years without
too much complaint. Then I moved to using rrdtool and custom perl
scripts, and I'm much happier (because I can combine a lot more
information into the same graphs). You can see an example of this
here: http://www.we-be-smart.org/rrd/

If all you're after is statistics, qmailanalog can't be beat, though
it does have some little quirks related to handling timestamps. I
diddled around with isoqlog for a while; and while its reports were
decent, they just never really wow'd me.

I have discovered "munin" a while ago.
http://munin.projects.linpro.no/
It is a framework for rrdtools and defines kinda interface for plugins.
You can even use it across the network, define alerts and send them
to nagios.
I comes with a set of plugins already installed and you can find more at
http://muninexchange.projects.linpro.no/

The newest version looks even more promising (and nice, with the ability
to define your own color palettes)
