Hello, I'm having a server which is sending about 1,000,000 per day - sometimes more. No locals only remote deliveries and bounces. I have mounted qmail queue on the 512 mb RAM disk and it is working very fast. I never saw such performance when queue was on hda. But with a such installation the big problem is deliveries attempts. I'm having queuelifetime set to 400(2 attempts). If more - 521 mb ramdisk will be soon overloaded. A few weeks ago I saw here someone told he has two 2 qmail instances on the server - one installed on ramdisk and has queuelifetime set to 0, second installation on the physical disk with appropriative queuelifetime. So if first qmail(ramdisk) is unable to deliver the message it resend it for the future delivery to the second instance which on the physical disk and have no problems with limited space. It seems qmail was patched, because I don't know any standard qmail options to allow this. Could you please share with me what patches and configuration you are using to allow a such type of installation? Thank you, Nick Rezun.
