Question about SMTP auth over SSL

Hi,

I'm looking for a patch that does SMTP auth over SSL for a vanilla qmail
that works well with vpopmail (qmail-ldap is not an option).

I've been searching over qmail.org and Google, but information is sparse.

Any help would be appreciated.

There are plenty solutions for both, SMTP auth and SMTP SSL.

My choice, that doesn't require any patches btw, is
- sslserver from the ucspi-ssl package (http://www.superscript.com/) and
- mailfront, that has a feature-rich drop-in replacement for qmail's
smtpd (http://untroubled.org/software.php)
