We have qmail on a Dell PowerEdge 2650 server with a SCSI RAID
configuration and the following patches installed.
qmail-1.03
daemontools-0.76
qmail-ldap-1.03-20041201.patch
ucspi-tcp-0.88.errno.patch
ucspi-tcp-0.88-periplimit.7.patch
For spam and virus filtering it is using Rae Internets MPP version 2.2.
73 with Clamav and Coludmark. Everything has been working fine for the
last few months but recently we having some problems with the queue
backing up. I have applied the "big todo" and "ext todo" and that has
fixed our problem with preprocessed messages but, the queue is still
moving really slow, it will shot through 20 or thirty messages than stop
for an few minutes than go again. I am also seeing quite a few
[qmail-queue <defunct>] when I run ps -aux. I have looked on the lists
but have not seen any answers. Any help would be appreciated.
It looks like most of the mail in the queue is junk.
