Dag problem with checkpassword?

I had a problem using the dag site to update checkpassword. I think
they moved checkpassword from /bin to /usr/bin. This broke my pop3
server until I changed my startup script.
Anyone else seen this?
Please hold the flames on how I should be compiling things myself.
