python on SHx processor and cross-compiling issues

hi, folks

As you may know, Linux has been ported to Hitachi SHx line of
microprocessors, some cross-compiling tools such as gcc and binutils are
available too. I am interested to run Python on, say, SH4 processor.

My questions are: have anyone known or built a public available python
binary for SH4 already? If not, what would it take to cross-compile
Python for another processor arch (sh4) on a i386 machine? Being no much
experience on cross-compiling before, any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

-Feiyi
