Me parece que Van Edward Lindberg <van[at]lindbergs.org> dijo: > An early version of Parrot has been released.... > > http://use.perl.org/article.pl?sid=01/09/10/2254250 > > What, no input from the Python side? Python side of what? I actually fell victim to the same confusion that, it seems, has caught you. Namely the fact that the mock-language propose this past April happens to have used the same name as the code name for the Perl 6 internals. In a section about half-way down the page: "Patches should be sent to the perl6-internals mailing list..." OTOH, one apparent idea for Perl's Parrot is to make it a common base with multiple interface languages (such as Python), along the same lines as .NET, but better (because it's not Microsoft) and worse (because it's Perl-centric. -- Democracy encourages the majority to decide things about which the majority is ignorant. -- John Simon
