github mirror of perl is way out of date

github mirror of perl is way out of date

I'm not sure if this is the list I should be asking this of, but I'm
getting a big patch ready to submit, and therefore want to use github to
do so. I have an account there that I submitted another patch with
quite some time ago; but now I notice that if I go to the Perl mirror
http://github.com/github/perl
the latest commit is 19 September.

Is it stuck, or am I doing something wrong?

It's actually a problem with github's third-party mirror queueing
system. Their linux and wine mirrors are also out of date :/

This happens quite regularly unfortunately. It doesn't really matter
though, as you can always "pull" from perl5.git.perl.org, and "push"
to github.com. There is no need to update your own repo from the
github mirror at all.

So, shall I use it anyway for a relatively large patch, not large enough
by any means to not be e-mailable?

You can use my github mirror if you want -- I have a cron job that
updates it regularly from perl5.git.perl.org
