help with config/make on Solaris - can't find rrd and errors

Hello,

I'm having all kinds of issues on Solaris. The latest is:

configure: error: Unable to find RRD at /opt/csw/bin/: please use
--with-rrd-home=DIR

I have also tried the rrd binary in /usr/local and /usr/local/rrdtool.

What is this looking for exactly? Are there any Solaris users I can
bother offlist?

Thanks!

Gary

Something like /opt/csw/lib/librrd_th.so or similar - you need to locate
the RRD library files, not the binaries, because that's what it will
build against.

I'm not using a Solaris box so I couldn't even begin to hazard an
accurate guess, but the above would be my first stab. If that file is
there, then you need the following switch:

--with-rrd-home=/opt/csw

Otherwise it's the path above whichever lib directory the librrd_th.so
file lives in.

Got passed this error my creating /usr/local/rrdtool/lib. I think
configure.in looks here by default.

Now I have the dreaded: " configure: error: cannot find macro directory
`m4'"

Read several posts and tried those fixes to no avail. Got 3.3.11 from
SVN - same problem.
