Rolf
can you do "mkdir m4" in the ntop directory and try again?

Thanks Luca

Re: Ntop 3.3.10 rev 3772 /Suse 10.2 / configure: error: cannot find macro directory `m4' [In reply to]

This error is very much like the one I ran into with compiling the
latest version of nprobe. I do not believe creating the m4 directory
fixed the issue. I have not found a resolution yet.

Thanks Luca

Re: Ntop 3.3.10 rev 3772 /Suse 10.2 / configure:error:cannotfind macro directory `m4' [In reply to]

Hi Luca,

this works now. I found one additional errormessage <3> and 3 ambiguous messages

./autogen.sh --enable-jumbo-frames

....

7. Running autoconf to create configure ...

.... done

<1><is the following error-messsage usefull?>

mkdir: cannot create directory `m4': File exists

8. Running ./configure ...

<2><missing text like ./configure --enable-jumbo-frames .... >

...

New file is:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 18394 Jun 2 18:26 etter.finger.os.gz

<3><takes a long time >

/bin/sh: line 0: cd: Internet: No such file or directory

--18:26:30-- http://www.iana.org/assignments/novell-sap-numbers

....

<4>to restart I`ve to start ntop from the source directory with "ntop -M"

then I have to reboot to start next only with "ntop"

Is there an other possibility as the reboot ?

Best regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Rolf Wiebel
