newbie (netflow-related) nprobe/ntop problem
|
|
hi, I'm trying to use nprobe/ntop as a netflow collector/analyser. I've followed this simple howto: http://www.ntop.org/nprobe/using-ntop-as-a-flow-collector-for-nprobe/ I'm using nprobe v.6.7.0 ($Revision: 2111 $) and my command line is: ./nprobe-6.7.0-static-linux-x64 -i bond0 -V 9 -n localhost:XXXX I'm using ntop 3.3.8 (Dag Apt RPM Repository) and my command line is: ntop -a /var/log/ntop -i none -w 3000 I'm collecting flows from a single cisco 6509 and I can confirm that with a simple tcpdump on the server running ntop/nprobe. When I log in to ntop's web interface I see that the only network interface used, is the netflow virtual interface that I've configured. So, I'm expecting all information to be related to the netflow collection but thats not true. I'm actually seeing traffic analysis from hosts that are connected to the ntop/nprobe server (for example, my workstation). Am I missing something? -- Yannis Nikolopoulos OTE S.A e-mail: yanodd [at] otenet IP Network Planning tel: +302106116293 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- () ASCII Ribbon Campaign - against HTML email & vCards /\ _______________________________________________ Ntop-misc mailing list Ntop-misc [at] listgateway http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop-misc
