Maximum number of rings?

Hello.

Can anyone tell me if there is a maximum number of rings that can
exist simultaneously. I need to know if I can rely on that there are
not more than N ring files in /proc/net/pf_ring at the same time.

Thanks!
Daniel

Re: Maximum number of rings? [In reply to]

Daniel,
I have no idea about this, but there isn't a limit if the number if reasonable. Said this, I want to tell you that PF_RING was no optimized for a large number of rings: this is on my todo list and I will work at it by this spring when I have in mind to rework PF_RING quite a bit
