IPv6 whois DNS records

IPv6 whois DNS records

Has anyone had any luck getting network solutions to add IPv6 NS records to whois? It has been about a month since we contacted them initially, and have followed up twice in that time ... nothing.

How the heck can we deploy IPv6 properly if the domain registrars won't support us having IPv6 DNS servers?

I've had no issues with my registrar. I suggest name&shame at this point. OpenSRS does it, DynDNS does, Neustar does, etc..

Hi,

not a domain of mine, but someone else had luck with network solutions:
whois -h whois.internic.net NS.DRYDOG.COM|head -n14

Whois Server Version 2.0

Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

switch registrar... mine has had AAAA since 2009, atleast that's when I
changed one of the records. Mine is joker :-)

I had to email them(IPV6Req [at] networksolutions) and it was no problem,
but that was about a year ago.

linux.lcrcomputer.com
linux2.lcrcomputer.com
ns1.lcrcomputer.net

Have IPv4 and IPv6 glue.

If I remember correctly I had a problem with line wrap between what I
sent and what they read and I got an email back from them. (I happen to
be a VIP client) I called in and got it resolved in a matter of minutes.

As others mentioned, many registrars do this cleanly[1]. George, did
you contact ipv6req [at] networksolutions?
In my own example:

Server Name: NS.PAPHOSTING.NET
IP Address: 2001:7B8:3:47:20D:B9FF:FE14:70D4
IP Address: 213.154.229.21
Registrar: KEY-SYSTEMS GMBH

I registered with joker.com and at the time I put my money where my
mouth was and transfered all of my domains from Tucows to Joker.

I am in the process of moving my own domains from my current registrar
to gkg.net for that very reason (gkg also supports dnssec well).

Yes, we have emailed that role account, called them on the phone, etc. Maybe Network Solutions has figured they just have too many customers and need to shed some.
