MLX Q-in-Q Configuration

Good afternoon all,

I'm looking for an MLX configuration for the Q-in-Q setup described in
this picture and can't find anything useful.

http://s780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/mooseman1982/work/?action=view&current=mlxq-in-q5-4-2010.jpg

Is there any way to bond a VE to a doubletagged VLAN? Or is there
anything similar to the Cisco config below?
interface G0/1.10504
encapsulation dot1Q 10 second-dot1q 504
ip address x.x.x.x y.y.y.y

Please reply with config examples if you have any.

Thanks,
Adam

Re: MLX Q-in-Q Configuration [In reply to]

Thanks Michiel, but In my setup, I'm actually trying to terminate the
Q-in-Q VLAN into my MLX (needs to share an IP subnet with the Cisco as
in the diagram). Also -- I don't run an MPLS core -- I run an Ethernet
core.

Re: MLX Q-in-Q Configuration [In reply to]

Dear Sir:

You need another MLX port, another L3 switch, Q-in-Q in MLX and FESX-424 to achive your desired function.

In MLX.

tag-type 9100 ethernet 1/2

vlan 100

untag e 1/2

In L3 swicth

vlan 504

tag ethernet 1 (this port is connected to MLX port 1/2)

In FESX-424

tag-type 9100 ethernet 1 to 12(For FESX-424, q-in-q will oocupied continuous 12 ports)

vlan 100

untag ethernet 1(this port is connected to Cisco 7200)
