FI8GM - Management Module deactivation

Anyone solved the problem of upgrading from a combined
8xGE + Mgnmt I module to a Mgnmt Module II - IV without
loosing the the 8x GE ports? In other words is it possible
to somehow deactivate just the management part of a combined
<interfaces> + Mgnmt I blade? Soldering gun available if
necessary ;-)
