Does the summit 1 support copper gbics?

Hello colleagues,

I've got a question regarding the ability of the summit 1's gbic-slots.
In almost every datasheet there's mentioned gbic-sc...
Can I insert copper gbics without any problems?

Yes should work without probs. What I have experienced with an Copper GBIC
in an Alpine module is, that the link was always reported up, even without
cable connected :(( This might have been a prob of the GBIC I used?

We tried using copper gbic in a Summit 48, and it didn't work.

My experiences with copper gbics on Extreme are not very good, I wouldnt
recommend it.
