3rd party SFPs

Hi,

Does Extreme switches(XOS) now support using 3rd party SFPs? Anyone
doing it? Cisco also doesn't used to support but I have seen some list
speaking about some new IOS commands like "service
unsupported-transciever" that disables the 3rd party SFP checks and
avoid putting the interface on err-disable state? Anything like that in
XOS?

Regards,
Samit

Re: 3rd party SFPs [In reply to]

Hi,

I haven't tried it out before BUT I think interoperability should be fine with the Extreme XOS without a problem.

Regards
