snapmirror delete question

I have 2 new 3070HA's running ontap 7.24. When I setup snapmirror,
great, it works, love it, etc.

When I go to delete it, no button (not sure why this got missed in the
QA process, but whatever) and I see bug 275636, and its fixed in 7.2.4P4
and 7.3

The bug says to remove it from the snapmirror.conf file, which I did,
but I still see it in filerview and via the console.

Anything else I am missing other then upgrading to 7.2.4P4?

Thanks in advance.

RE: snapmirror delete question [In reply to]

This is what I've been doing to delete the snapmirror relationships in
the absence of the delete button:

-On source, use snapmirror release to release the destination volume
(check using snapmirror destinations)

-On target, break snapmirror relationship.

-On target, run snapmirror status -l <vol name> and note the snapshot
name

-On target, delete the snapshot you've just recorded from the volume.

-On target, remove the entries for the volume from snapmirror.conf.

This seems to clear it.

Hope this helps
Chris

Re: snapmirror delete question [In reply to]

Bottom line is this...

If a snapmirror snapshot exists on any filer, then it shows up in any form of snapmirror status (cli, gui).
After breaking/aborting/etc the mirror, make sure the snapmirror snapshots are gone too...that is unless you need them for something.
