To our list-mom: There actually is a setting in mailman to prevent these emails, under "General settings", look for "Administrivia filter". Help is probably avalable at:
http://www.teaparty.net/mailman/admin/toasters/?VARHELP=general/administrivia
It might be an idea to enable this option, so these administrative messages do not trouble the entire group?
