slp_srvreg.exe error

A client of mine has noticed that they receive an error message stating that the 'slp_srvreg.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience......' after every scan.

I have never come across this before and was wondering if anyone else knew why this may be occurring.

Thank you,

How have you configured the scan? For example, have you disabled "Safe
checks" and/or enabled "Thorough tests"?

What exactly is 'slp_srvreg.exe'? Does it listen on a network
interface? If so, are you able to capture traffic to/from that port
when you scan the PC?
