about nikto in Nessus client 3.0

Hello,
My question concern the "root field" in the settings of nikto within
the nessusclient. Do I have to insert the path in which nikto was
created, or just one of the $PATH where I have copied nikto.pl ? (in the
same $PATH, there also the executable files for nmap and amap). I have
changed also the configuration file of nikto and I have given the path
where nmap is, and the path for the plugins.
(/home/user/.../nikto-2.02/plugins).
