Telehouse London started as a Banking DR centre, so would probably meet your
needs. Otherwise, there's Interxion, which claims to have all sorts of security
certifications. The other usual suspects are also available in London - Level3,
Equinix, C&W, etc...

As the CTO of a financial company with multiple data centers in
London, I would recommend Equinix Slough (or London 4) site. They have
a website setup just for Financial firms. http://financial.equinix.com/

I've got space in both Telehouse and Equinix and would recommend
Equinix for someone looking for full service collocation and Telehouse
to someone who is looking for network interconnection.

The C&W space is certainly secure and is good if you only ever want to
use C&W but try and get anything else there and you'll have a hard time.

Philip-

I'm only really familiar with my employer's facilities: Savvis has
data centers in London, Slough, and Reading with good exchange
connectivity*. There is a financial-firm oriented microsite at http://financial.savvis.net/
, but beware the annoying* embedded video. You can look at http://www.savvis.net/en-US/Industries/Financial/Pages/Home.aspx
for more info, too.

Cheers,
-Benson

Have a look at Telecity* too, DCs in London, Manchester and Dublin,
others spread out over Europe. Not just colo but a bunch of services
too if you need them. They already serve some financial customers as
well!

* I work for them in Italy, standard disclaimer apply

Cable and Wireless (who I work for) and COLT (who I used to work for).
The only other place worth considering is Equinix but from a proximity
viewpoint they are just too far away from the square mile.

Is there still the Global Crossing place on the junction of New Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road?

And frink-a-basement in Fulham is quite good. They have water cooling when the sewer floods and upto 22Mb/s when there is no water in the junction box.
