Re: Schedule Recoding from PVR-350 S-Video In

I have a 4dtv and subscribe to the guide. I schedule it to record using the guide and then manually set the 4dtv receiver to turn to the channel using the built in timer function. I have messed around with the ir blaser, but can not get it to compile on my system. -Gregg -----Original Message----- Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 19:02:19 -0400 From: Blues Guy <bluesguy [at] stny> Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] Schedule Recoding from PVR-350 S-Video In To: Mercury Morris <mercury.morris [at] gmail>, Discussion about mythtv <mythtv-users [at] mythtv> Message-ID: <416C627B.7010405 [at] stny> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Mercury Morris wrote: >On Mon, 11 Oct 2004 21:27:43 -0400, Blues Guy <bluesguy [at] stny> wrote: > > >>Mercury Morris wrote: >> >> >> >>>This MythTV system is intended to replace a VCR that is connected exactly the >>>same way - coax + 4DTV. Is there no way to remotely change the channel on the 4DTV satellite unit (e.g. IR Remote, serial interface, etc.)? Most people use an IR Blaster or other control to have Myth change the channel on the satellite box, and start recording. That way it uses the program data for the satellite provider and that entire channel linup is bound to the input on your capture card. I don't have this kind of setup, so satellite people please feel free to chime in :-) Greg
