I'm trying to get mythtv to work. I have a DC10plus in my machine which otherwise works. First both frontend, backend and filldatabase all complain about missing fields. Bit first I'm trying to just get the video working. I don't really need channels as my card can't change them anyway. When I start the frontend and select 'watch tv' I just get a black screen and it freezes. Below is what frontend and backend writes when trying. I can see the backend complains about some software encoders but I don't understand what it is I have to change. The backend continues writing the last line about 50 times pr. second until I kill the frontend. frontend 2004-05-22 21:12:39 mythfrontend version: 0.14.20040123-1 www.mythtv.org 2004-05-22 21:12:39 Enabled verbose msgs : important general 2004-05-22 21:12:41 Registering Internal as a media playback plugin. 2004-05-22 21:12:43 Connecting to backend server: 10.0.0.70:6543 (try 1 of 5) 2004-05-22 21:12:43 Using protocol version 1 2004-05-22 21:12:43 Using protocol version 1 2004-05-22 21:12:43 Using protocol version 1 backend 2004-05-22 21:12:12 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2004-05-22 21:12:12 adding: leeloo as a client (events: 0) 2004-05-22 21:12:12 2 OK 2004-05-22 21:12:12 24 3[]:[]10.0.0.70[]:[]6543 2004-05-22 21:12:12 12 ACCEPT[]:[]1 2004-05-22 21:12:12 12 ACCEPT[]:[]1 2004-05-22 21:12:12 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2004-05-22 21:12:12 adding: leeloo as a client (events: 1) 2004-05-22 21:12:12 2 OK 2004-05-22 21:12:12 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2004-05-22 21:12:12 adding: leeloo as a client (events: 0) 2004-05-22 21:12:12 2 OK 2004-05-22 21:12:12 92 rbuf://10.0.0.70:6543/spare/myth/buffer/ringbuf... 2004-05-22 21:12:15 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2004-05-22 21:12:15 adding: leeloo as a client (events: 0) 2004-05-22 21:12:15 2 OK 2004-05-22 21:12:15 adding: leeloo as a remote ringbuffer 2004-05-22 21:12:15 2 OK 2004-05-22 21:12:15 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV 2004-05-22 21:12:15 Using profile 'Live TV' to record Unknown video codec Please go into the TV Settings, Recording Profiles and setup the four 'Software Encoders' profiles.
