Mythfrontend freeze

Freeze may not be the write title, but it is what
seems correct for lack of a better term.

The frontend was running fine, until my system froze
up while I was transfering mp3s from my Archos
Recorder to the mythtv system. I couldn't ssh into
the system and the system was completely frozen to any
keyboard input including ctrl-alt-del and
ctrl-alt-bckspace I had to a hard reboot. I know the
problem has to do with the archos and linux and not
mythtv because I've already researched it.

After starting the frontend, it does the usual
prescaling images thing and then freezes before it
gives me a selection or gives me the main menu and
then freezes.

Doing a mythfrontend -v all
gives me the messages

and it just freezes from there
It used to work before the archos hang but it doesn't
now. I'm not quite sure how to trouble shoot this
problem. I tried removing mythfrontend and then
reinstalling it but that didn't help. Can anyone else
give me some tips?

Thanks

Re: Mythfrontend freeze [In reply to]

Ok so I found a work around.....
There was a music cd in the drive. I tried a
different one but I had the same symptom.

Myth works now, I just can't rip cds.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Since you run 0.14, why do you have media monitoring enabled? AFAIK It has
zero functionality in that release.

On the other hand you could try removing the frontend settings from the
database and/or deleting $HOME/.mythtv/

Re: Mythfrontend freeze [In reply to]

How do I disable media monitoring?
I checked in the settings and didn't see anything.
I also tried removing ~/.mythtv
How do I remove the frontend settings from the
database?
