They're just trying to upsell to you. I have Comcast in Dallas, TX, and
three of the four of my dct2000 boxes have s-video. I did have to talk the
cable installer into going back for a different box to get box #3 with
s-video. Box #4 doesn't have s-video, but then again, neither does the TV
it's hooked up to. So no big loss.

Subject: [mythtv-users] Motorola cable box question
Does anyone have the DCT-2000 that has an s-video output. I have two boxes
but they only have composite video out. They have the s-video knockout but
no jack. Called the cable company, Comcast. and they said the only boxes
they have with s-video are their hi-def boxes. I'm not ready to jump that
fence yet.
