Mysql isn't properly setup.. you need to first change the root password then
add the mythtv account. Take a look at the mysql install docs and start
where it tells you to change the root password with mysqladmin. If you don't
know how to setup a new user then you could always use root/<whatever> where
<whatever> is the password you just set. Change these in
/usr/local/share/mythtv/mysql.txt.

I am having serious problems getting MythTV to work on my Slackware9.1 box.
I ran through the mysql setup many times. I am up to the point where I need
to run the MythTV setup. Here is what I get when I run it::
root [at] Cratosvill:/home/cratos# /usr/local/mythtv-0.14/setup/setup
Unable to connect to database!
Driver error was [1/1045]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user: 'mythtv [at] localhos' (Using password: YES)

QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:

Seems like Mysql is broken. What could be the problem?
