Update to Myth14 and Updated Kernel giving me problems
|
|
I graded MythTV and IVTV and I've had a bunch of problems since. I finally got X working again after updated my nvidia drivers. I have updated the my kernel and all associated kernel packages. Now I'm getting the following problem at startup. Feb 16 13:44:00 STEEVO kernel: saa7127: Configuring encoder...<6>saa7114.c: starting probe for adapter ivtv i2c driver #0 (0x10005) Feb 16 13:44:00 STEEVO kernel: saa7114.c: detecting saa7114 client on address 0x42 Feb 16 13:44:00 STEEVO kernel: saa7115.c: writing init values Feb 16 13:44:02 STEEVO kernel: status: (1E) 0x48, (1F) 0xc0 Feb 16 13:44:02 STEEVO kernel: msp34xx: init: chip=MSP3448W-A2, has NICAM support Feb 16 13:44:02 STEEVO kernel: msp3410: daemon started Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Encoder revision: 0x02040011 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Decoder revision: 0x02020023 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, minor 0 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, minor 32 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, minor 224 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, minor 16 Feb 16 13:44:04 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: loaded Feb 16 13:44:05 STEEVO insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2166.nptl_35.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o: post-install ivtv failed Feb 16 13:44:05 STEEVO insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2166.nptl_35.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o: insmod char-major-81-0 failed Feb 16 13:44:05 STEEVO kernel: [saa7127.c: INFO]: SAA7127 video encoder driver unloaded Feb 16 13:44:05 STEEVO kernel: ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found! This was working before I did the updates. I had finally gotten myth up and running but it would hang occasionally. I figured upgrading to myth 14 might fix the problem. Now it's caused more harm than good. Here's the relevant section of my modules.conf file... options ivtv ivtv_debug=1 mpg_buffers=90 options tuner type=2 options saa7127 enable_output=1 output_select=1 options msp3400 once=1 simple=1 add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 saa7127 tuner add above ivtv lirc_dev lirc_i2c ivtv-fb post-install ivtv /usr/lib/test_ioctl -d /dev/video0 -u 0x3000 -p 4 -c dnr_temporal=0 -c dnr_spatial=0 Has anybody seen this before? Any idea how to fix it? I really just want to get this thing working. I was so excited to get this up and running and now it's just taking up all of my time. I just wanna watch some TV! thanks in advance, --rO
