well this sucks, Euro finals didn't record, but it's showing in MythWeb's Upcoming list...

so Myth thinks it started? but it never actually did. this whole
issue, but this time for something I actually cared about.

I really hope this problem get's figured out.

The worst thing is that mythtv lies to you. So when you check, it says it
is recording, when clearly it stopped. Also it lies about the size of the
file.

yups!

let's hope this all gets figured out by 0.26, but the tickets
regarding the few causes of scenarios like this don't seem to be
looked at.

I empathise. I "upgraded" to Myth 0.25 a few months ago and about 3/4
of my recordings were "0-byte" files, and about half the ones that *did*
record were really messed up. Took the WAF *way* down (and believe me,
She was *not* happy!). I ended up reinstalling my system completely to
get it back to 0.24 (I didn't know of another way and was under some
pressure) but haven't had any recording issues whatsoever since.

I sympathise. I never 'upgrade', always build a new system either
completely or use a new set of discs, that's why I'm still running an
8.10 'production' system and have an 11.10 'pre-production' system. It
usually takes between 2-3 months to get a working system, ie one with a
suitable 'WAF' value!
