mythweb and mythpreviewgen / previewgenerator.cpp more verbose message

[.this is my first posting to this list, please forgive me if this is
wrong style or way to help]

Hi,

after installing mythtv fresh on a server I figured out that I need to
have mythtv-frontent installed to get mythtpreviewgen to enable mythweb
to generate previews.

The message in the logs was not that helpful and it would be great if
this could be changed a bit to 'is the mythpreviewgen bin installed?' or
if a real check on the bin could be done.

This is the message I got

previewgenerator.cpp:219 (Run) - Preview: Run() cannot generate preview
local

As I'm using a package from packman on openSUSE 12.1 it would be an idea
to add a dependency to mythweb for mythtv-frontend, too.

greetings kai

installs which do not install all files are broken and not supported by
the project.

If some packager broke MythTV by not installing all files then yes, you
should report the issue to the packager.

Usually you want to install all files but only setup some services
depending on the role of the system. (database only on the master
backend, but run the backend on all backend systems etc.)

Karl

But making things more user friendly is always a good attitude.

Plus it would work in case there is an issue with the installation
because whatever reason - including admin error deleting the wrong file.

The reason I posted this was not to ask for help, as I already fixed it
for me, but to make it searchable for others looking for help on the
same topic.

greetings kai
