Re: no metadata mythtv 0.25

Hi
I am running mythtv 0.25

I followed this guide:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Enhancing_Recordings_with_Metadata_Lookup

But my Frontend is still not showing any fanart/coverart etc. for my
recordings.
Can anyone help me?

Are you sure your theme selection displays such artwork?

I am using the Mythbuntu theme, but have tried others themes too.

Check you are not running into this:

A few of my recordings lacked coverart following an upgrade from 0.24 to
0.25. Im using mythbuntu.

Turns out they didnt have inetref so I ended up doing it manually from
mythweb.

He's talking about recordings, while that issue only affects content
scanned into the video library.

I had a problem grabbing metadata for videos (videos != recordings, but the
grabber is AFAIK the same for both) at first. I think the settings 0.25 uses
for metadata grabbing had never been set on my system.

Go to "Setup," then go to "Artwork and Data Sources." After grabbing a list
of sources, "Movie Metadata Source" and "Television Metadata Source" should be
filled in. Select "OK." Metadata grabbing should now work.

If you never go in and set those yourself, MythTV will default to using
ttvdb.py and tmdb.py.

Mine wasn't doing that...watching the output from mythfrontend as I tried
grabbing data for a movie showed that it was trying to run
/usr/share/mythtv/metadata/ (IIRC), not one of the scripts contained within.
