Help with a mythtv error: mythfrontend: type unknown not a basic type

In the last few days, mythfrontend has been filling the disk on my
syslog host with the following error:

mythfrontend: type unknown not a basic type

There approximately ~5000 of these messages per second hitting my syslog
server.

I am not completely sure what has changed. I am running 0.25 on
minimyth 0.80b3.

Does anyone know what this message means, or how to go about making it stop?

Michael

That looks like a dbus warning message. My understanding is that MythTV
uses dbus for shutdown and removable media monitoring through the qtdbus
library, and uses dbus for AirPlay through the libdns_sd library.

Thanks for the response.

I tested and I am not seeing this issue on my desktop w/ rpmfusion
packages so I am assuming this is a minimyth specific issue. I will
follow up in that forum.

Thanks!

Michael

Very likely. It could be that I am not including some critical d-bus
file/directory in minimyth. It could be that I am compiling d-bus with
some gcc option that causes it to fail. It could be that I am using a
version of d-bus that is not compatible with MythTV. Unfortunately, I
have not upgraded to MythTV 0.25 as (at least at this time) it requires
that I upgrade my home server beyond CentOS 5.8, which (at this time)
means an upgrade to CentOS 6.x.

If anyone familiar with d-bus has any ideas on how to pinpoint the
problem, I would love to know.
