Migrated backend and now the UPnP isn't showing up

Hello all,

I migrated my mythbackend server from a ubuntu box( v 11 ) to a freebsd
box( 8.2 ). I followed the instructions here:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Backend_migration I read somewhere about version
.24 not respecting storage directories.

now when the UPnpMedia tries to start up I get the following error:

2012-04-28 23:37:24.192 UPnpMedia: BuildMediaMap - no VideoStartupDir set,
skipping scan.

All of the shows show up fine on my frontends, I just really grew
accustomed to the UPnP and would like to know what I might need to do to
get it back.

Configuration now:

Freebsd box 8.2
Mythtv .24 running in a jail built from source.
mysql 5.1
2 HDHomerun devices ( 4 tuners )

There's your problem. The standard FreeBSD jail only sends traffic to
the specific IP address defined to applications running inside the
jail. That means no broadcast traffic (HDHRs will not autodetect) and
no multicast (no UPnP). If you want UPnP to operate from inside a jail,
you're going to need to compile a new kernel with VIMAGE support, and
configure your jails using vnets. VIMAGE is a virtual networking stack
that produces a pair of ethernet devices with traffic tunneled between
them. You bridge one end with the host's uplink adapter, and push the
other end into the jail. The jail can then configure its own IP
addresses as a normal (non-jail) system would.

FWIW, UPnP no longer has a UPnP-only scanner, so you'll need to properly
configure and scan for videos in Video Library (formerly MythVideo).

He's running 0.24. The video scanner was only removed from the UPnP
server for 0.25. 0.24 still used the old local folder paths.

Turns out because my new backend box can't run mythfrontend I had to
run mythfrontend from another machine set the directories, then set
the values in the database to the right host. After doing this I now
get:

in :/mnt/mythStorage/defaultstorage:

2012-04-30 13:43:45.962 UPnpMedia: BuildMediaMap Done. Found 340 objects"

however I still can't see those objects or anything for that matter
being broadcasted.

according to:�http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/UPnP� I have added the route
in the host just to make sure.

but it still doesn't seem to be broadcasting

Any suggestions on how to diagnose that part?
