Just wondering - roku and mythtv

I recently purchased a roku player. After doing some searching on
whether there is an app that will read/play Mythtv content, I notice it
requires a few bits cobbled together. Will the new version of Mythtv
with it's additional features make a Roku player more feasible?
I would love to move my noisy, big frontend/backend out of the living room.
