Nuvexport and cutlist

Nuvexport and cutlist

I am trying to use nuvexport to export my recordings to divx and cut out
the commercials. I have myth set to automatically flag commercials and
I am able to skip them while viewing with the "Z" key. However when I
run nuvexport it reports "No cutlist found...." .

I have searched the list and looked at the script to no avail. It
appears to be trying to find a cutlist in the database. What gives? I
think I am missing a step here. Any help is appreciated as always,

The commercial flag list is different than the cutlist. While watching
your recording, press the M key and you'll be put into the editor. From
there, Z will import your flagged commercials, which you should
double-check to make sure are all correct (they're never 100% accurate).

How do you edit or add cuts in manually then ?

I'm having the problem on the master backend.

As for whether the cutlists work while viewing, them commflag for commercial skipping while viewing, but I don't generate a cutlist by default. I have relied on nuvexport to gencutlist while exporting, which worked once upon a time...

I had the same problem a few months ago and had no luck figuring out how to
do it. But take note, I was having this issue when nuvexport-ing from slave
backends, the master backend worked fine, so I was just forced to have the
master backend do all my nuvexporting. Now I have a slave (backend) sitting
there with no work to do, what a shame ; )

Is your issue on the master backend, or are you trying to nuvexport from a
slave backend as well?

Good evening,

I'm having a problem with nuvexport. When I export anything, the
export runs and the audio and video are great, but even when I answer
"yes" to "Enable Myth cutlist" it never cuts the commercials. Once
upon a time this worked. Now, I'm running MythDora 4, and it does not.

I'm hoping someone's seen this and has a quick answer, otherwise I'll
do more digging.

FYI, my problem here turns out to be that nuvexport is no longer
generating a cut list for the program it is exporting, which I am
certain it used to do. No big deal, I created a user job that
generates the cutlist for the job after mythcommflag runs, and the
nuvexport does indeed honor the cut list.

Two questions: are there any negative ramifications to having the
cutlist generated? It still seems to skip commercials correctly on
the frontend, etc., so I can't SEE any.

And is there some way to have the cut list automatically generated
without using a user job slot?

Or can I get nuvexport working the way I was used to it doing:
generating the cut list and then clearing it? Or am I hallucinating
that it had that functionality before?
