Page isn't redirecting properly

After I scan ATSC channels in, I see nothing in the channel listings.
However, what's strange is that the local channels and names were in fact picked up, but no schedules.
When I click on any of the Details for a channel, I get the following error.

http://host.mydomain.com/mythweb/tv/channel/2111/1283910285

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.

I can't seem to find an answer because the problem seems to be too generic.

Actually, I just noticed this

Connecting to webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com|144.142.232.53|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 401 Unauthorized
Authorization failed.

Must be related to my problem.

Nope, you're supposed to see that. That's how HTTP Auth works. You
try to grab the page, it's unauthorized, then you're prompted for
credentials.

So, does this mean I need to sign up or something? The channel info came in fine when I first built the system. Ended up rebuilding it and now this is happening. Also, I thought the guide data was coming from the OTA channels no less?

Maybe I need to include more info.

2010-09-07 22:11:21.198 DataDirect, Error: Failed to save DD cache! redownloading data...

The above seems to be another lead? Like, something not writable perhaps?

If you were using schedules direct, and you are after the 7 day free
trial, yes, it's time to sign up:

I don't have any problem signing up but I'd sure like to know that the machine is going to work before I do. Any way to extend that trial?

Nope, not if you've used it up already.

Typed too soon, extended trial :).

Still, doesn't that guide data come OTA? I'm only using ATSC at the moment.

Ok, I signed up, paid, entered my details into myth, ran mythfilldatabase, saw what appears to be valid among continuing invalid connections but still no guide data in mythweb?

Noticed another error which I'm sure is the problem now.

Card 1 (type DVBInput) is set to start on channel Please add, which does not exist

From all the replies under here, it looks like you have an invalid
Input Connections configuration. I recommend doing both the capture
card and video sources portion of
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/264034#264034 , and
then reconfigure.

Also, make sure your /tmp directory is writable and has sufficient space
for a few megabytes of data.

Oh, and it sounds like you need 2 MythTV video sources--one for your
digital capture card, and one for your analog encoder cards. You only
need one Schedules Direct account. You may need one or 2 different
Schedules Direct lineups--depending on whether the channels included in
the 2 video sources are from the same provider or not (i.e. all the
digital cable package or all OTA or ...).

At this time, I rebuilt the machine with only an Hauppauge HVR-1600 ATSC tuner/capture card.
I only want to pick up local ATSC channels and use the input on the card to encode captured video.
I've followed notes on adding the cards analog and digital sides but must have messed something up.

Yes, it is writable and lots of free space.

In the Capture cards section, I have two entries, one for /dev/video0 and another for /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0.
The problem is likely in the Input Connections section where I have 6 entries.

I've deleted all entries in all screens and restarted from scratch.
Everything populated.

Thanks very much for the input, I've learned some things such as don't simply rebuild when things get fun :).

Now I need to find more information on how to capture and turn on s-video output to watch live-tv.

If you're not yet using the digital input on the HVR-1600, then don't
set it up.

For the S-Video input, you'll need to specify a channel change
script--even if it doesn't change the channel. So, if you don't have
one, yet, use /bin/true .

Not yet, haven't had time to play with this since fixing it this morning.

I don't really want to get into programming and custom scripts on this. I'm trying to build a machine that would be very easy for non tech types to use and me to support it for a satellite application. Would I be better off using a separate card then?

Well, if you're using the S-Video input, something has to change the
channel on the set-top box (or whatever receiver is tuning/outputting
the channel).

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Category:Channel_Change_Scripts is a good
starting point.

If you're just using the S-Video for initial testing, then use /bin/true .

Did you have any more input on this? I replied asking if it might be best to just use another card for video capture. In fact, I'd love to find a multi-input card that works with myth, say 4 channels for example, where I could add one more card if I needed to.
