Verifying that myth is using alsa

Sorry for what may be a dumb or OT question, but I
can't find this in the archives.

I have alsa running. alsamixer or aumix control my
input/output levels properly. But my frontend says
things like

2003-12-05 00:38:09 Opening OSS audio device
'/dev/dsp'.

Is this normal with alsa running?

By default, Myth uses ALSA's OSS-compatibility API. It's still using
the ALSA driver, though. If you want to enable Myth's built-in ALSA
support, I believe you can... search the list archives for 'native
ALSA'.
