Since for external channel change scripts, MythTV simply sends the channel's frequency ID and the channel change script uses that information to select the channel to tune (usually uses it directly by sending a signal that includes the value received--i.e. uses frequency ID as the STB's "channel number"), if your system is tuning the wrong channel, you probably have the wrong channel in your video source. However, I have no clue what "directv.pl" is or how it works, so I can't say for sure. If it is an input connections misconfiguration, I recommend the video sources portion of http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/264034#264034 .
